GM Luvs I mean GirlFriends!

YouTube Channel: Dear GirlFriend Diaries

Hey GirlFriends!

Saturday is here and that means Issa weekend time! Anyway, I wanted to take this time today to talk a little bit about the words love vs luv.  I often feel as if, today people are not showing luv or giving love as much as they possibly can. I use the expression Luv L.U.V. to show luv to something like for example an Artist's work. So if I really really enjoy the music or work of an Artist I will express it by saying I luv their music or art.  You will almost always hear me refer to the person's work and not the actual person because I don't know the person personally.  I use the term L.U.V. to express appreciation to things and people outside of my immediate friends & family.  I do this to take some of the emphasis off of the words being expressed so that love is shown but not in a super mushy way. The word love L.O.V.E is use to express affection to my immediate family and spouse.  Simply because we are in an era where we use texting and messages more often than ever before.  Every day we send texts which are basically mini letters to others that we have immediate access to. So I will tell my children, I love you because its personal and I actually do know and love them.

With that said, why are we showing more hate and less luv to others?  I just can't understand why we are so disrespectful and dysfunctional towards each other as HUMAN BEINGS.  Does it hurt us to express and show luv? We are programmed to think that if we show luv to others that it takes away from our persona and some how that's more important than to give or express appreciation. If you go online you will find more expressions of hate towards another than you will luv. So I ask the question, Is love/luv lost?
