Hey GirlFriends,
Well today I am posting fairly late because I had such an emotional day. I had to clear the air with a good friend about some of our communication issues. I got to thinking about how much texting has completely changed communication. Texting has created barriers to effective communications because a text shows no emotion, intent, or tone. On a positive note, texting has created more access to others because you can get a message to someone fairly easily with out hassle or delay. We now are able to communicate more quickly and efficiently than ever before but sometimes not as effectively. So this got me to thinking what is proper etiquette when sending a text message? In my opinion there are a few basic suggestions to good text communication.
1. Keep message short and sweet.
2. Never send angry or important info in messages.
3. Respond within a reasonable time frame.
My question to the audience:
Are these reasonable measures to take for text communication?
How do you feel about people who primarily text to communicate with you?
Well GirlFriends talk to you soon!
